Sakya&#8217;s very first mission to Bodh Gaya, India in 2015 only consisted of 7 members delivered care to more than 1000 patients during the trip.\u00a0 We were featured on the front page of a Indian newspaper that week. Sakya received many requests to return and serve the most impoverished population of India at Bihar states. Following our\u00a0 first successful humanitarian mission,\u00a0 we continued to thrive and recruited more volunteers for each subsequent events. Sakya currently has a dedicated team of 30-50 professional and supporting staff\u00a0 from the US.\u00a0 We typically partner with local professional organizations to ensure the proper permit is obtained and local laws are followed.\u00a0 This compliance ensures that Sakya is welcome back for future missions.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for professional volunteers from medical, dental, vision and eastern medicine.\u00a0 We encourage young\u00a0 students** to join us on these missions to cultivate the seed of compassion in the early age.
