We are incredibly grateful for the many volunteers who joined us this year, united by a shared commitment to the Sakya Care Foundation’s mission of serving with compassion, altruism, respect, and excellence.Although we come from different backgrounds, professions, and walks of life, we were brought together by one common purpose—to relieve suffering, extend a helping hand, and bring hope to those in need. Because of your dedication, this mission was an incredible success. We all came to serve, but in the end, the experience changed each of us. The smiles we witnessed, the lives we touched, and the friendships we formed will stay with us forever. Here are a few reflections from our volunteers as they share what this mission meant to them. ❤️🙏 ... Recap for 5 Days in Quang Tri, Vietnam. June 27-July 1, 2026Now that I’ve finally arrived home, I can’t help but appreciate the comfort of my own bed. Yet, at the same time, my heart is filled with a deep sense of longing. I already miss everyone.I miss seeing the sea of Sakya Care's blue shirts filling the dining hall during breakfast and dinner. I miss watching that same sea of blue spread throughout the clinics, schools, and temples where we served together. It’s a strange feeling to finally be home, yet still feel like a part of me is back in Vietnam with all of you.I am truly humbled by the kindness, generosity, and sacrifices each of you made throughout this mission. Whether it was your time, energy, compassion, or unwavering dedication, every act of service made a meaningful difference.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this mission so special. I already miss each and every one of you, and I look forward to the day our paths cross again on another mission.Sincerely,Tami Phan, ODSakya Care Foundation, VPVision Clinic Director ... Dear all, On behalf of Sakya Care Foundation, I am genuinely grateful to all healthcare professionals and general volunteers who participated in this year's 2026 medical mission in Vietnam.Although Sakya Care Foundation organized the mission, all of you were angels who made it perfect. You have tirelessly committed to this mission regardless of obstacles. Your compassion, kindness, resilience, and generosity have brought hope and healing to thousands of people living in poverty and facing barriers to essential healthcare. The dedication and enthusiasm of everyone have touched many hearts and are a manifestation of the invaluable power of love. Your selfless and wholehearted service is a hallmark of our foundation's journey. I wish you all a fruitful continuation of your serving and compassionate journey to bring healing and peace to the world. And I hope all of you will return to join Sakya in the future.
